ENG vs SA Series – 2020 Coverage
The England tour of South Africa has been confirmed by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECP) in November / December 2020 as part of the ICC FTP fixtures. Both teams will play three ODI and three T20 matches during the series. The three T20 are all scheduled on November 27, 29 and December 1, while the ODI matches are scheduled on December 4, 6 and 9. All 6 matches will be played at Newlands, Cape Town and Boland Park, Paarl under bio-secure environment. The ODI series will form part of the inaugural 2020–22 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the England team are staying in a bio-secure environment whilst in South Africa, with the matches being played in Cape Town and Paarl. In October 2020, Cricket South Africa (CSA) made a plea to its parliament, saying that is of “critical importance”, while waiting on government approval for the tour to go ahead. On 21 October 2020, both cricket boards agreed to the series, with the full tour itinerary being confirmed.
