The Big Cricket League delivered another night of exciting cricket, with the Southern Spartans cruising to a commanding victory over the Rajasthan Regals, while Irfan Pathan’s Mumbai Marines survived a nail-biting low-scoring affair against the UP Brij Stars.
In the first match, the Southern Spartans opted to field after winning the toss and immediately put the Rajasthan Regals under pressure. The Regals lost opener S Srinivas cheaply for 3 off 8 balls, and despite a steady 33 off 32 balls from Sri Lankan legend T Dilshan, the team struggled to build momentum. Mehul Patel fought back with a gritty 30 off 25 balls, but the Regals could only post 138/8 in their 20 overs. Abhimanyu Mithun shone with the ball, delivering a disciplined spell to claim 2/17.
