The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is intensifying efforts to influence the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding its hosting demands for the upcoming Champions Trophy. A pivotal meeting is set to take place on Wednesday, December 11, where key decisions on the tournament’s hosting and the proposed hybrid model are expected.
The PCB is advocating for a hybrid hosting format, which is likely to be implemented not only for the Champions Trophy but also for all ICC events scheduled in India through 2027. The board has challenged India’s claims of security concerns preventing its team from traveling to Pakistan, calling them unfounded. In a reciprocal move, the PCB has stated that if India refuses to send its team to Pakistan, Pakistan will not participate in any future ICC events hosted in India.
