Team India will be without their pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for the second Test against England at Edgbaston, with the fast bowler set to be rested as part of a workload management strategy. Bumrah, who delivered an impressive performance in the opening Test at Leeds, will undergo routine baseline monitoring under the supervision of the medical team, according to sources close to the team.
The decision is aimed at preserving Bumrah’s fitness for the remainder of the five-match series and future key assignments. Despite India’s five-wicket loss in the series opener, Bumrah stood out with a five-wicket haul in the first innings and consistent pressure throughout the match.
