India vs Pakistan match in ICC Champions Trophy ICT 2025, match date, timing and venue announced

The highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to ignite cricketing passion as arch-rivals India and Pakistan face off on February 23 in Dubai. The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the complete schedule for the tournament, marking the return of one of cricket’s most prestigious 50-over events.

The eight-team tournament will feature 15 day-night matches, starting at 14:00 PKT (local) and 14:30 IST. Matches will be hosted across Pakistan and Dubai, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere for cricket fans worldwide. Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, and Dubai will serve as the venues for the high-stakes competition.

The India vs Pakistan encounter, scheduled for February 23, is set to be the highlight of the tournament. Taking place in Dubai, the clash promises to be a spectacle, bringing together two cricketing powerhouses with a rich history of intense competition.

Dubai will play a pivotal role in India’s campaign during the Champions Trophy, hosting several crucial matches. All of India’s group stage matches, including their opening clash against Bangladesh on February 20, will take place in Dubai. Additionally, the first semi-final is scheduled to be held at this venue. Significantly, if India qualifies for the final, the match will be relocated to Dubai instead of being held in Lahore, underscoring the city’s importance in the tournament.

In Pakistan, the matches will be distributed across three iconic venues, each with its own share of excitement. Rawalpindi will host three group stage matches, contributing to the tournament’s early action. Karachi will take center stage with the tournament opener between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19, along with other key Group A fixtures. Lahore, a historic cricketing hub, will not only host three group matches but will also serve as the venue for the second semi-final and the final—unless India qualifies for the final, in which case it will be held in Dubai.

The eight teams competing in the Champions Trophy have secured their spots by finishing in the top eight positions during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
