ISPL 2025 auction: Final list of all players and teams

  • by

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) Season 2 auction captivated cricket enthusiasts with fierce bidding wars as six franchises competed to assemble formidable squads for the upcoming season. Scheduled to take place at Mumbai’s Dadoji Kondadev Stadium from January 26 to February 15, the auction underscored the growing prominence of tennis-ball cricket in India.

The mega event, held in Mumbai on Wednesday, featured 350 players selected from 55 cities through extensive trials. By the end of the intense bidding, 96 players were chosen by the teams, with a total expenditure exceeding ₹5.54 crore.

Highlighting the auction was Majhi Mumbai’s acquisition of Abhishek Kumar Dalhor for ₹20.50 lakh, making him the most expensive player. Majhi Mumbai, owned by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, outbid competitors in a dramatic escalation from Dalhor’s base price of ₹3 lakh. Another notable moment was the selection of 15-year-old Sharik Yasir, the youngest player in the auction, who was picked up by Akshay Kumar-owned Srinagar Ke Veer for ₹3 lakh.

Incorporating the Right-to-Match (RTM) and Icon Player rules, the auction introduced strategic elements, allowing teams to retain two players from the previous season and include one icon player in their squads. High-profile signings included Vijay Jaysing (₹13.75 lakh for Majhi Mumbai), Saroj Paramanik (₹16.25 lakh for KVN Bangalore Strikers owned by Hrithik Roshan), Krishna Satpute (₹8.50 lakh for Falcon Risers Hyderabad owned by Ram Charan), and Bhavesh Pawar (₹8.50 lakh for Tiigers of Kolkata, co-owned by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan).

Launched earlier this year, the ISPL transforms street cricket into a professional spectacle with its innovative T10 tennis-ball format. The league’s inaugural season garnered widespread attention, showcasing exceptional performances and turning players into household names.

Core Committee Member and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar expressed enthusiasm for the league’s expansion. “The growing interest in ISPL is truly encouraging. This format provides a competitive platform for players to shine. The inaugural season showcased remarkable talent, and this year, we’ve expanded to more cities to uncover emerging stars. I hope these players seize this opportunity to gain recognition,” he said.

Ashish Shelar, another Core Committee Member, highlighted the league’s massive popularity. “Season 1 was a huge success, blending sports and entertainment. Fans loved it inside stadiums, on TV, and OTT platforms. With over 30 lakh registrations for this season, we’re excited to present an even bigger second edition,” he remarked.
