Having showcased an impeccable performance during India’s commendable victory over Australia in Chennai, Jadeja emerged as a standout, clinching the significant wicket of Steve Smith. The left-arm spinner registered an impressive 3/28 from his ten-over spell.

Reflecting on the team’s capabilities, Jadeja stated during his appearance on The ICC Review podcast, “There is nothing that we are weak in any particular area.” He further mentioned how thrilled he is to play his first World Cup on home soil, and praised the balance in the team across all domains.
