BCCI Secretary and ICC Chairman Jay Shah, alongside Indian Women’s Cricket Team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, unveiled Team India’s new ODI jersey on Friday at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. The event, highlighted by the tricolor accents on the shoulder of the jersey, marked a special moment for the Women in Blue as they gear up for their upcoming home series against the West Indies.
Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her excitement about unveiling the jersey, emphasizing the pride associated with wearing the Indian colors. “It’s an honor to unveil the jersey today. The tricolor on the shoulder looks really beautiful, and I am thrilled that we are the first ones to wear it against the West Indies team. Wearing the jersey is always special, reflecting the hard work and thought that goes into it. I hope Indian fans will feel proud wearing it too,” Kaur said in a BCCI video.
