Root’s unbeaten 92 off 60 balls showcased precision and creativity, steering the Royals to a successful chase of 212/5 with just two balls to spare.
Root’s innings, featuring 11 perfectly timed boundaries and two sixes, was a masterclass in placement and innovation. Proving that T20 cricket isn’t just about raw power, Root anchored the Royals’ chase with finesse, cementing his role as the backbone of the batting lineup.

The Royals faced an early blow when Rising Star Lhuan-dre Pretorius was dismissed on the first ball of the chase, silencing the fans dressed in pink at Centurion. However, Rubin Hermann, in his debut match for the Royals, stepped up to the challenge.
