England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is set to return to the national squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against India, beginning July 16. Sciver-Brunt had been sidelined with a groin injury sustained during the second T20I of the ongoing white-ball series. She missed the third match and the rest of the T20I leg as a precaution.
Tammy Beaumont, who has also been named in the ODI squad, took over captaincy duties for the remainder of the T20I series. India currently lead the T20I series 2-1, with the fourth and final match scheduled for Wednesday, July 9.

England also welcome back star spinner Sophie Ecclestone, the top-ranked bowler in women’s ODI cricket. Ecclestone missed the West Indies series in May-June due to a knee injury but has since returned to form, playing all three T20Is against India. Her inclusion strengthens England’s bowling attack, while leg-spinning all-rounder Sarah Glenn makes way and has not been named in the ODI squad.
Another notable return is Maia Bouchier, who had come in as a replacement for Sciver-Brunt during the T20Is. She is recalled to the 50-over format after missing the previous white-ball series against the West Indies.
The full squad features a mix of experience and youth, including pace bowlers Lauren Bell and Kate Cross, all-rounders Alice Capsey and Alice Davidson-Richards, and spinners Charlie Dean and Linsey Smith. Wicketkeeper Amy Jones also retains her place in the squad.
England’s squad for the ODI series against India includes: Nat Sciver-Brunt (captain), Em Arlott, Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey, Kate Cross, Alice Davidson-Richards, Charlie Dean, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, Amy Jones, Emma Lamb, and Linsey Smith.
