Pakistan team arrives in Johannesburg for remaining T20I matches against South Africa

  • by

The Pakistan cricket team, led by Mohammad Rizwan, has landed in Johannesburg to face South Africa in the remaining fixtures of the T20I series. The second and third matches are scheduled to take place in Centurion and Johannesburg, respectively. The team will hold a practice session tomorrow to prepare for the upcoming games.

In the series opener on Tuesday in Durban, South Africa dominated Pakistan, securing a convincing victory. David Miller’s explosive batting performance was the highlight of the match, as he smashed eight sixes and four boundaries in a match-winning knock. George Linde also made a significant impact, hitting four sixes and taking four wickets to dismantle Pakistan’s batting lineup.

Despite a cautious innings by captain Mohammad Rizwan and an aggressive start by Saim Ayub, the Pakistani batters struggled to maintain momentum. South Africa’s total of 184 runs proved too challenging for the Green Shirts to chase.

The second T20I is set for Friday in Centurion, where Pakistan will look to bounce back and level the series. With the team gearing up in Johannesburg, they will aim to address the shortcomings from the first match and put up a stronger fight against the Proteas.
