Manish Pandey’s spirited 50 off 38 balls couldn’t save the day for Delhi Capitals as they fell short by 23 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB’s debutant Vijaykumar Vyshak shone brightly, claiming three wickets with figures of 3/20.

Kohli continued to score, but eventually succumbed for 50, followed by Mahipal Lomror’s dismissal for 26. Glenn Maxwell and Harshal Patel tried to keep the momentum going, but Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel asserted Delhi’s dominance, picking up their wickets.
Dinesh Karthik couldn’t make an impact, falling for a golden duck to Kuldeep Yadav, leaving Shahbaz Ahmed and Anuj Rawat to steer RCB to a total of 174/6. Despite Manish Pandey’s efforts, Delhi Capitals were left to rue another missed opportunity.
