Rishabh Pant delivered another record-breaking performance at Lord’s, surpassing multiple milestones, including a decade-old record held by MS Dhoni. Battling through a finger injury sustained on Day 1, the Indian vice-captain played a resilient knock of 74 off 112 balls on Day 3 of the third Test against England, guiding India through a tense first session with grit and aggression.
Pant became the highest run-getting Indian wicketkeeper in a single Test tour to England, scoring 416 runs in just three matches. The previous record was held by Dhoni, who had scored 349 runs during India’s 2014 tour of England. With this, Pant also became the first visiting wicketkeeper in Test history to score over 400 runs in a single series in England.
