Team India, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, departed Canberra on Monday for Adelaide to gear up for the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, beginning December 6. The team concluded a successful two-day warm-up match against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI at Manuka Oval, securing a five-wicket victory.
The warm-up match showcased stellar performances by pacer Harshit Rana, who claimed four wickets, and batters Shubman Gill, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who contributed crucial runs. The victory added to India’s momentum as they prepared to take on Australia in Adelaide.

In the second innings, India’s top-order batters shone brightly. Australia’s chase faltered early, with Bumrah and Siraj taking quick wickets to reduce them to 12/3 by stumps on Day 3. Although Travis Head (89) and Mitchell Marsh (47) showed resilience, India’s bowlers wrapped up the innings for 238, sealing a 295-run victory.
