Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Rohit emphasized Bumrah’s clarity of thought and simplicity in approach, which have been key to his success. “He knows exactly what he’s doing and doesn’t complicate things. He has so much belief in his own skill set that there’s very little discussion needed. I’ve captained him for a long time, and I know how he thinks and what he’s trying to achieve,” Rohit said.
The skipper added that Bumrah’s confidence eases his role as a captain during matches. “It makes my job easier because he’s so clear in his mind, whether he’s taking wickets or not. His skill set and confidence inspire trust, and there’s not much I need to add while he’s bowling,” Rohit explained.
