The San Francisco Unicorns, a franchise of the Major League Cricket (MLC), have announced the signing of two prominent Pakistani cricketers, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf, rounding out their overseas player roster for the inaugural MLC season starting July 13.
Haris Rauf, known for his fast bowling prowess, has accumulated 83 T20 International wickets in 62 matches for Pakistan. “Rapid Rauf is heading to the Unicorns. This Pakistani speedster is locked and loaded ahead of #MLC2023,” the franchise announced on Twitter.

Joining him will be Shadab Khan, a skilled all-rounder who has demonstrated consistent performances for Pakistan across all formats, particularly shining in the T20 arena. The Unicorns welcomed Khan on Twitter, promising exciting cricket: “Whether it’s taking wickets or smashing sixes, this all-rounder from Pakistan is sure to deliver.”
The signings represent a major coup for the Unicorns, who have secured two of Pakistan’s top cricketers for their inaugural season. These new additions will bolster a squad already boasting of significant international talent including Australian captain Aaron Finch, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, and South African pacer Lungi Ngidi.
The Unicorns are set to play their first match of the season on July 15 against MI New York. Guiding the team from the sidelines will be former Australian player Shane Watson, who has been appointed as the head coach. With these latest signings, the San Francisco Unicorns have signaled their intent to make a strong impact in the first season of the MLC.
