Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the runners-up from last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), have officially signed South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder as a replacement for injured England pacer Brydon Carse for the upcoming 2025 IPL season. Carse sustained a toe injury during England’s first match against Australia at the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy, ruling him out of the entire IPL campaign.
According to an official media advisory by the IPL, Mulder will join the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for INR 75 lakh. The South African all-rounder brings significant international experience, having represented the Proteas across formats, including 18 Test matches, 25 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 11 T20 Internationals (T20Is).
