Total of 15 Teams Confirmed for T20 World Cup 2026 in India So Far, Here’s the Complete List

India’s cricket fans have plenty to look forward to as the 15 confirmed teams for the 2026 T20 World Cup have been revealed. Scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka next February–March, this tournament will feature 20 teams, with five more slots still to be filled through regional qualifiers in Africa and Asia–East Asia–Pacific.

The latest qualification update comes from Europe, where Italy and the Netherlands secured the two available berths. Italy’s historic maiden entry into a T20 World Cup is particularly exciting, achieved despite their final match defeat to the Netherlands. The Italian team ensured their qualification by keeping the chase to under 17 overs, securing a superior net run rate over Jersey—who had also finished on five points but missed out.
