The Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction witnessed a mix of domestic and international talent finding new teams, with Scotland’s wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Bryce being picked by Delhi Capitals for Rs 10 lakh during the first accelerated round. Bryce’s inclusion adds international flair to the Delhi franchise, bolstering their lineup for the upcoming season.
The Scottish player brings significant experience, having played 58 T20Is, scoring 1,290 runs at an average of 28.66 and a strike rate of 106.52. Her consistent performances include four half-centuries, with a career-best score of 67. Delhi Capitals’ decision to secure Bryce reflects their focus on adding depth and versatility to their squad.

UP Warriorz, who reached the playoffs last season, added two domestic players, bowler Arushi Goel and all-rounder Kranti Goud, to their squad for Rs 10 lakh each. These signings aim to boost their bowling and all-rounder options for the upcoming campaign.
Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) also made notable moves, picking up uncapped all-rounders Sanskriti Gupta and Joshitha VJ for Rs 10 lakh each. These additions underline the franchises’ focus on nurturing emerging Indian talent.
