Afghanistan Cricket Board announces 17-members Squad against Pakistan T20 Series

The Afghanistan Cricket Board’s Selection Committee has announced a 17-member national team for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan. The series will take place from March 24 to 27 in Sharjah.

Newcomer Sediqullah Atal, the left-handed opener, has been included in the squad and could potentially make his debut in this series. Additionally, experienced all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, who captained Afghanistan during last year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, returns to the team.

Nijat Masoud and Zahir Khan, members of the Afghanistan squad from their recent UAE tour, have been designated as reserves. Meanwhile, Rahmat Shah and Hazratullah Zazai have been dropped from the team.

ACB CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan expressed his confidence in the team’s preparations and the selection committee’s choices for the series. He wished the team luck and hoped for a victorious outcome that would make their nation proud.

Furthermore, Mr. Khan anticipates an exciting competition between the two talented teams, highlighting the passion of the fans from both countries.

Afghanistan Squad: Rashid Khan (C), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (WK), Ibrahim Zadran, Usman Ghani, Sediqullah Atal, Najibullah Zadran, Afsar Zazai, Karim Janat, Mohammad Nabi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Fareed Ahmad, Fazal Haq Farooqi and Naveen Ul Haq.

Reserve players include Nangyal Kharoti, Zahir Khan and Nijat Masoud.
