Australian cricketers have made significant strides in the latest ICC Women’s Player Rankings, released on Tuesday, following their dominant 3-0 series sweep over India. Meanwhile, India’s Smriti Mandhana also made notable progress, closing in on the top spot among ODI batters.
Annabel Sutherland, who was named Player of the Series for her stellar all-round performances, enjoyed massive gains across all categories. Sutherland rose 15 places to 29th among ODI batters after scoring 122 runs and claiming six wickets across the three matches. She also climbed four spots to 20th in the ODI bowlers’ rankings and improved three places to ninth among all-rounders.

Star all-rounder Ash Gardner continued her impressive form, moving up one spot to 16th in the batters’ list and two places to third among bowlers. Her exceptional performances, including seven wickets in the series, helped her rise two positions to second in the all-rounders’ rankings.
Another Australian standout, Tahlia McGrath, also gained momentum, improving eight places to reach 24th in the ODI batters’ rankings.
From India’s perspective, Smriti Mandhana emerged as the big gainer after scoring her ninth ODI century in the final match of the series against Australia in Perth. The opener climbed three places to second in the ODI batters’ rankings and is now just 39 rating points behind South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt, who currently holds the top spot.
Australia’s seamer Megan Schutt closed the gap on England spinner Sophie Ecclestone at the top of the ODI bowlers’ rankings. South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp also made a jump, moving up two places to fourth, while England’s in-form spinner Charlie Dean advanced two spots to seventh.
Indian players also saw positive movement in the T20I rankings after their opening game against the West Indies. Jemimah Rodrigues was the standout performer, climbing six places to 15th in the batters’ list after scoring a half-century in Mumbai.
Deepti Sharma, with her impactful two-wicket haul, gained two spots to move to second among T20I bowlers, closing in on Sophie Ecclestone.
For the West Indies, several players made notable gains. Veteran all-rounder Deandra Dottin moved up 21 places to 39th in the T20I batters’ rankings, while Qiana Joseph climbed 22 spots to 65th. Spinner Karishma Ramharack also made progress, rising six places to 20th among T20I bowlers.
