The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the much-awaited schedule for the senior men’s team for the upcoming home season 2023-24. The season promises an action-packed extravaganza with 16 international matches, including 5 Test matches, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is.
The BCCI’s Tours, Fixtures, and Technical Committee, led by Amitabh Vijayvargiya, Jayendra Sahgal, and Hari Narayan Pujari, meticulously crafted the fixtures while adhering to the BCCI venue rotation policy.

The home season will kick off with India hosting Australia for a riveting three-match ODI series, set to take place in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot. The excitement will be palpable as the ODI series unfolds ahead of the prestigious ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Following the 50-over World Cup, India will engage in a thrilling five-match T20I series against Australia, commencing on November 23 in Vizag and concluding on December 3 in Hyderabad. Cricket enthusiasts can expect explosive performances as the two formidable teams clash in the shortest format of the game.
At the beginning of the new year, Afghanistan will arrive in India for a power-packed T20I series. The first two T20I matches will be played at Mohali and Indore, while the final encounter of the series will take place in Bengaluru. Adding to the excitement, Bengaluru will also host the solitary Test match between India and Afghanistan.
