Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has regained his position as the top-ranked bowler in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings after a stellar performance against Australia in Perth. Bumrah’s eight-wicket haul, including a five-wicket effort in the first innings, played a pivotal role in India’s commanding 295-run victory at the Optus Stadium. His efforts earned him the ‘Player of the Match’ title and pushed him ahead of South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood in the rankings.
This marks Bumrah’s third rise to the top spot this year, having briefly held it in February and October. Meanwhile, his teammate Mohammed Siraj also advanced in the rankings, moving up three spots to 25th after claiming five wickets in the same match.
