CPL 2023 Players’ Draft Announced; here are Final Teams List and Venues

The stage is set for another thrilling edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as the players’ draft for the 2023 season was announced along with confirmed participating teams, and venues.

The players’ draft for CPL 2023 took place on Friday, June 30, and witnessed the inclusion of some of the finest T20 players from around the world. Renowned cricketing nations, including West Indies, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia, and England, have contributed their star players to this year’s CPL.

The franchises have also successfully acquired the services of T20 specialists who are known for their explosive performances on the field. The league features players like Imran Tahir, Maheesh Theekshana, Chris Green, Roelof Van der Merwe, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rilee Rossouw, Faf du Plessis, Sikandar Raza, Imad Wasim, Dasun Shanaka, Martin Guptill, Mohammad Amir, and Naveen ul Haq.

The CPL 2023 will see six teams battling it out for the coveted title. The franchises competing in this edition are the Barbados Royals, Guayana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Tallawahs, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings, and Trinbago Knight Riders. Each team brings its unique blend of talent, strategies, and aspirations to the tournament, setting the stage for thrilling rivalries and closely fought encounters.

The matches of CPL 2023 will take place in various Caribbean countries, including Saint Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana. The tournament will culminate in an adrenaline-pumping final scheduled to be held at the National Stadium, Providence, on September 24. Fans in these vibrant cricketing nations will have the opportunity to witness the enthralling battles firsthand and create an atmosphere that is synonymous with CPL’s rich history.
