Cricket World Cup Draft Schedule: India set to play at Nine Venues this year

The excitement among cricket fans is reaching fever pitch as the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 draws closer. According to a report from ESPNCricinfo, the draft schedule reveals that the Indian team will play their matches across nine different venues in the country. The Men in Blue will commence their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. This encounter will take place three days after England and New Zealand have a rematch of the previous World Cup’s final, kicking off the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Furthermore, Pakistan’s league stage matches are scheduled to be played across five venues in India, including Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai. As per the draft schedule, India will face Pakistan on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is expected to be a highly anticipated and fiercely contested match.

The five-time champions Australia will go head-to-head with New Zealand on October 29 at the picturesque Dharamsala stadium. Additionally, they will face England in Ahmedabad on November 4. The match between New Zealand and South Africa will be held in Pune on November 1.
