Pace bowling sensation Jofra Archer is set to make a comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 after missing Mumbai Indians’ last four matches due to a minor injury. Archer has experienced several injuries throughout his career, but this time he is determined to ensure he feels good before returning to the field.

“I just want to focus on feeling good at the minute,” Archer said in a recent interview with ESPNcricinfo. He acknowledged that it’s natural for his body not to be 100% immediately after a prolonged absence but expressed optimism about his return.

While recuperating, Archer has been observing Mumbai Indians’ performances behind the scenes and eagerly awaiting his chance to contribute to the team’s success. “It’s a great franchise and hopefully, I get the opportunity to win a few games for them,” he commented.

Despite a less-than-ideal debut for Mumbai Indians, Archer is excited about his upcoming home debut at Wankhede Stadium. Having witnessed two games from the dugout, he is looking forward to experiencing the electrifying atmosphere of a home match.

As Archer continues his recovery, Mumbai Indians have won three of their five matches in IPL 2023, placing them in the 6th position.

The team is currently preparing for their next game against Punjab Kings on Saturday April 22 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
