ILT20 Season 3 to Open with MI Emirates vs Dubai Capitals in a Thrilling Rematch

The third season of the International League T20 (ILT20) is set to kick off on January 11, 2025, with defending champions MI Emirates taking on Dubai Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium. The opener will be a highly anticipated rematch of Season 2’s final, with the first ball scheduled for 6:00 PM local time.

The action continues on January 12, with the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders starting their campaign against the Desert Vipers at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Later that evening, the Gulf Giants, champions of Season 1, will face the Sharjah Warriorz at the Dubai International Stadium. Sharjah’s first match will be on January 17, when the Warriorz host Dubai Capitals at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Across the month-long tournament, 34 matches will be played at three venues: Dubai International Stadium (15 matches), Zayed Cricket Stadium (11 matches), and Sharjah Cricket Stadium (8 matches). Weekday evening games will begin at 6:30 PM, while weekend games start at 6:00 PM, with double-header afternoons commencing at 2:00 PM.

The final will be held on February 9, 2025, at the Dubai International Stadium.

ILT20 Season 3 promises a dazzling showcase of T20 talent, with big names such as Andre Russell, Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Alex Hales, Lockie Ferguson (Desert Vipers), David Warner, and Shai Hope (Dubai Capitals). Other notable players include Chris Jordan, Shimron Hetmyer (Gulf Giants), Jason Roy, and Matthew Wade (Sharjah Warriorz).

The league will also feature new debuts, including Fakhar Zaman (Desert Vipers), Ibrahim Zadran (Gulf Giants), and Romario Shepherd (MI Emirates), adding further excitement to the tournament. The UAE’s emerging talent will also play a vital role, with additional players set to join the squads next week.
