India’s cricket team had a successful match, defeating Australia by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur. This victory puts them ahead 1-0 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. India’s bowling attack was dominant, with Ravichandran Ashwin taking five wickets and Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami each grabbing a couple.
In the first innings, India scored 400 runs, in response to Australia’s 177, giving them a 223-run lead. However, in their second attempt, Australia was only able to score 91 runs, leading to their defeat.

Jadeja was named Player of the Match due to his excellent all-round performance. He took seven wickets in the match and also scored a half-century. In India’s first innings, he and Axar stitched together a crucial 88-run partnership for the eighth wicket, putting India in a strong position. The 223-run lead proved to be too much for Australia to overcome.
