India’s tour of Ireland is set to bring thrilling cricketing action back to Irish soil with a three-match T20 International (T20I) series scheduled in August. All three matches will be staged at the scenic Malahide, located on the outskirts of Dublin, with matches scheduled between August 18 and 23.
The T20I series falls just after the conclusion of India’s all-format tour of the West Indies in July and August, adding to an action-packed calendar for the team.
“We are delighted to welcome India Men back to Ireland for the second time in 12 months,” expressed Warren Deutrom, the Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, in a statement quoted by ICC. “We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so to have a three-match series this year should give even more fans the opportunity to enjoy what is always a memorable occasion.”
Deutrom expressed gratitude towards the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), thanking them for their consistent inclusion of Ireland in India’s busy schedule. He also appreciated BCCI’s collaboration to ensure a fan-friendly timetable. The scheduling of matches on a Friday and Sunday, Deutrom noted, is anticipated to maximize fan availability and attendance.
