India-Australia Series Tickets Sold Out Months in Advance for SCG and Manuka Matches

Cricket fans have shown overwhelming enthusiasm for the upcoming Australia vs India white-ball series scheduled for October and November, with public ticket allocations for key matches already sold out months in advance. According to Cricket Australia, the SCG ODI and the T20I at Manuka Oval in Canberra have both reached full capacity four months before the games, underscoring the extraordinary demand for the much-anticipated series.

The surge in interest comes on the heels of record attendance figures from the previous Ashes and a historic Border-Gavaskar Test series. In just two weeks of public sales, more than 90,000 tickets have already been snapped up for the eight-match limited-overs series, according to Cricket Australia’s latest update.

Indian fan clubs have played a major role in fueling this ticket rush. The Bharat Army alone has purchased over 2,400 tickets, while Fans India has secured more than 1,400. Community groups have also made bulk purchases, with Amit Goyal of Brissy Baniyas buying 880 tickets for the Gabba T20I — the highest individual purchase for a single match. The Indian Community of Gold Coast and Pakka Local have each secured over 500 tickets for the T20Is in Gold Coast and at the MCG, respectively.

Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager of Events & Operations at Cricket Australia, acknowledged the excitement surrounding the series. “Exhausting our public ticket allocation for the SCG ODI and Manuka Oval T20I four months before the series is a testament to the tremendous interest for the upcoming season amongst cricket fans,” he said.

Morrison also noted the continued enthusiasm from the Indian diaspora, who have played a significant role in shaping the series’ electric atmosphere. “We are thrilled to see continued strong engagement amongst the Indian diaspora off the back of a record-breaking Border-Gavaskar series last summer. The forecast strong turnout of Australian and Indian fans means we’ll again have a fantastic atmosphere at each match.”

He urged fans to secure their tickets early for the remaining fixtures, highlighting that demand remains high for matches at the MCG and Gabba. “There is extreme interest in what promises to be our biggest ever summer of cricket, so we encourage fans to buy early to avoid missing out on the action,” Morrison concluded.

With high-profile fixtures and fan fervor already at a peak, the Australia-India white-ball series is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited cricket events of the year.
