From the outset, India displayed their dominance, setting a challenging target of 356 runs for Pakistan to chase. The Indian pacers, led by the fiery Jasprit Bumrah, wreaked havoc early on by removing key Pakistani batsmen. Hardik Pandya added to the misery with a delivery that left Babar Azam bamboozled.

Shardul Thakur bowled a beauty to dismiss Mohammad Rizwan, who struggled to contend with the relentless pressure exerted by India’s pace attack. The frustration mounted for Pakistan as the required run rate continued to climb, prompting Fakhar Zaman to take on Kuldeep Yadav, only to be bowled out.

Agha Salman suffered a terrifying injury when a ball from Ravindra Jadeja struck him in the face, leaving him in agony. Despite the brave attempt to continue, Salman was soon trapped leg-before-wicket by Kuldeep Yadav. Shadab Khan’s wicket added to Pakistan’s woes as Kuldeep relentlessly dismantled their batting lineup.

The final blow came when Kuldeep claimed his fifth wicket by dismissing Faheem Ashraf. With Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf nursing injuries, Pakistan’s innings concluded at 111/6 after 28 overs, and they were unable to mount a significant challenge.
