Cricket legends Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers arrived in Bengaluru on Saturday to participate in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Unbox event.

RCB announced Gayle and de Villiers’ arrival in Bengaluru through their official Twitter account. The Unbox event will provide fans the opportunity to see their favorite players, including Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Rajat Patidar, during the team’s first practice session. Additionally, RCB’s 2023 season jersey will be unveiled at the event, which will also reunite the team’s three biggest stars: Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers.
De Villiers played for RCB from 2011 to 2021, appearing in 157 matches and amassing 4,522 runs at an average of 41.10. He scored two centuries and 37 fifties with a strike rate of over 158. Gayle represented the team from 2011 to 2017 in 91 matches, scoring 3,420 runs with a strike rate of over 154, along with five centuries and 21 half-centuries. His highest score is 175*.
RCB will begin their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians (MI) at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. In the previous season, RCB reached the playoffs and finished fourth after losing to Rajasthan Royals in qualifier 2 by seven wickets.
