Defending champions Gujarat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad on March 31 in the opening match of IPL 2023. The final will be played on Sunday May 28, 2023.

A total of 74 matches are scheduled to be played in IPL 2023 this year. This year will also see 10 teams that played last season which include Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. Each team will play twice or once based on the their position in the virtual groups.
