Jabalpur Royal Lions have officially announced their squad for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026, with the franchise expressing confidence in a balanced group capable of making a strong impact in the tournament.
The squad features a blend of experienced performers and emerging cricketers, with notable names such as Punit Datey, Ajay Rohera and Mihir Hirwani expected to play key roles during the competition. The management believes the combination of youth and experience will help the team compete strongly throughout the season.

Owned by Econexis Sports, the Jabalpur-based franchise is aiming to make a significant mark in this year’s tournament. Aayush Lalwani of Jabalpur Royal Lions said the team has been assembled with a fearless mindset and a focus on playing competitive cricket.
“We will have a fearless approach this season as we have built a squad with a great mix of experienced players and talented youngsters who are eager to prove themselves. The energy within the group has been very positive from the start, and the players are excited to play fearless and competitive cricket this season.”
He also highlighted the growing importance of the Madhya Pradesh League in developing cricket talent across the state.
“The MPL has become a wonderful platform for cricketers to showcase their potential, grow in confidence and create opportunities for themselves at a higher level,” Lalwani added.

The 2026 edition of the Madhya Pradesh League is set to commence on June 3, with Gwalior Cheetahs taking on Ujjain Falcons in the opening match of the men’s tournament. Organisers have expanded the competition significantly this year, making it the largest edition in the league’s history.
The men’s competition will feature 10 franchises, including defending champions Bhopal Leopards. Three new teams — Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons and Royal Nimar Eagles — have joined the league alongside Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Ghariyals, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions and Rewa Jaguars.
The women’s tournament has also expanded to five teams with the addition of Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles. They will compete alongside Bhopal Wolves, Bundelkhand Bulls and Chambal Ghariyals.
