In pursuit of 136 runs, KL Rahul began aggressively, hammering Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan for multiple boundaries. Kyle Mayers played a supporting role while Rahul accelerated the score. LSG crossed the 50-run mark in just 5.3 overs and ended the powerplay at 53/0. Rashid Khan took the first wicket for GT, dismissing Mayers, but Rahul continued to score briskly.

Halfway through the innings, LSG was at 80/1, with Rahul eventually reaching his 33rd IPL fifty. Despite losing Krunal Pandya and struggling to score in the final overs, LSG managed to cross the 100-run mark. However, the team lost several wickets in quick succession, ultimately finishing at 128/7 in their 20 overs.

For GT, Noor Ahmed was the standout bowler, claiming 2/18 in his four overs. Mohit Sharma took 2/17 in his three overs, and Rashid Khan added a wicket to his tally.

In the first innings, GT captain Hardik Pandya’s half-century guided his team to a respectable total of 135/6 in 20 overs.
