Ruturaj Gaikwad completes 3,000 runs in T20 cricket, 1396 runs so far in IPL

Chennai Super Kings’ top-order batter Ruturaj Gaikwad reached another milestone on Saturday as he completed 3,000 T20 cricket runs. The 26-year-old achieved this feat during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium.

In this match, Gaikwad contributed a crucial 40* off 36 balls, which included two fours and a six, helping CSK secure a victory over MI. Over 93 matches, he has amassed 3,025 runs with an average of 36.44 and a strike rate of 135.40. His T20 record includes three centuries and 22 fifties, with a personal best of 114.

Throughout his IPL career, Ruturaj has scored 1,396 runs at an average of 41.06 and a strike rate of 133.84. He has one century and 12 fifties under his belt, with his highest score being 101*. He has been a loyal player for CSK throughout his entire IPL journey.

Gaikwad’s standout season was in 2021 when he earned the ‘Orange Cap’ for scoring the most runs in a season. During 16 matches, he accumulated 635 runs at an average of 45.35 and a strike rate of 136.26. He notched up one century and four fifties, with a top score of 101*.
