Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Viv Richards are the GOATs of Cricket: Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli, star Indian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter, recently revealed his picks for the ‘Greatest of All Time’ in cricket. In a video posted by RCB, he cited Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Viv Richards as the two players who revolutionized batting and changed the dynamics of the sport.

Tendulkar and Richards have impressive records that support Kohli’s assertion. Tendulkar amassed 34,357 runs across 664 international appearances, with 100 centuries and 164 fifties to his name, as well as 201 international wickets as a spin bowler.

Richards, known for his dangerous batting, scored 8,540 runs in 121 Tests and 6,721 runs in 187 ODIs, contributing to the West Indies’ World Cup victories in 1975 and 1979.

When asked about potentially sharing a table with retired tennis great Roger Federer and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, Kohli expressed his desire to simply listen and learn from these two legendary athletes.

Kohli also reminisced about his childhood, mentioning his love for playing with trump cards featuring WWE wrestlers and collecting posters of sportspersons, particularly cricketers.

RCB will kick off their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 2. Last year, the team qualified for the playoffs but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier.
