Shivam Dube completes 1000 IPL Runs, Ambati Rayadu 200 Matches

The Indian Premier League (IPL) continues to be a stage for players to shine, showcasing their cricketing prowess and creating significant milestones. The most recent achievements come from Chennai Super Kings’ players Shivam Dube and Ambati Rayadu. Dube successfully completed 1,000 runs in his IPL career, while Rayadu marked his 200th match in the IPL. Both of these milestones were reached during their IPL 2023 match against Delhi Capitals in Chennai, where they played crucial roles for their team.

Shivam Dube: A Grand Slam of 1000 Runs

Shivam Dube, the promising all-rounder of CSK, reached the milestone of 1,000 IPL runs in a match against Delhi Capitals. This achievement is the fruit of his performances in 46 IPL matches, where he has scored 1,003 runs at an average of 27.11 and a strike rate of 140.67, with a top score of 95*.

Dube’s IPL journey began with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from 2019-20, where he scored 169 runs in 15 matches, and later with Rajasthan Royals in 2021, adding 230 runs in nine matches to his tally. His best performances, however, have come with CSK. In 23 matches, he has scored 604 runs at an average of 31.79 and a strike rate of over 158.

The current season has seen Dube in peak form. In 11 matches, he has scored 315 runs at an average of 35.00 and a strike rate of 159.90. He has smashed 27 sixes in the tournament so far, one of the highest in the league.

Ambati Rayadu: Two Hundred Matches and Counting

Veteran batter Ambati Rayadu celebrated his 200th IPL match, a milestone achieved during the match against Delhi Capitals. Rayadu’s IPL career has been illustrious, scoring 4,308 runs in 184 innings at an average of 28.53 and a strike rate of 127.27, with a top score of 100*.

Rayadu started his IPL journey with Mumbai Indians from 2010-2017, scoring 2,416 runs in 114 matches. Since 2018, he has been a pivotal part of CSK, playing 86 matches and scoring 1,892 runs at an average of 30.52 and a strike rate of 128.71.

The 37-year-old has lifted the IPL trophy five times – thrice with Mumbai Indians (2013, 2015 and 2017) and twice with CSK (2018 and 2021), showcasing his consistent performance and contribution to the teams.

Chennai’s next match

Chennai Super Kings’s next match is against Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, India. The 61st T20 match of the season will be played at 7:30pm local time (or 10am Eastern Standard Time and 2pm GMT). The MA Chidambaram Stadium is a renowned cricket venue and is expected to draw a large crowd of passionate fans. Both teams have a strong record in the IPL and will be eager to come out on top in what promises to be a highly competitive and exciting match.
