During his impressive performance in the match, Boult claimed two vital wickets, dismissing Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy while conceding 45 runs in his ten overs. This achievement comes in his 107th ODI appearance, with Boult boasting an average of 23.84 and a best bowling performance of 7/34.

Boult’s feat in reaching 200 ODI wickets in just 107 matches places him among an elite group, with only Australia’s Mitchell Starc (102 matches) and Pakistan’s Saqlain Mushtaq (104 matches) achieving this milestone at a faster pace, solidifying his status as the fastest Kiwi to reach this remarkable figure.
Notably, Trent Boult also surpassed the legendary all-rounder Richard Hadlee to become New Zealand’s third-highest wicket-taker of all time in international cricket. Boult now has 591 international wickets to his name, achieved across 240 matches, at an impressive average of 25.60. His best bowling figures of 7/34 underscore his potency as a bowler.

In addition to these milestones, Boult’s two wickets in the match also propelled him to the ninth position among the most successful bowlers in World Cup history. With 42 wickets in 22 World Cup games, he now stands ahead of South Africa’s Imran Tahir in this illustrious list. The highest wicket-taker in World Cup history remains Australia’s Glenn McGrath, with an impressive haul of 71 wickets in 39 matches.
