The New York Cowboys stormed into the finals of the United States Premier League (USPL) Season 3 with a dominant 30-run victory over the New Jersey Titans in the Eliminator at Broward County Stadium in Florida. Skipper Jake Lintott’s game-changing 18th over, where he took three wickets, proved decisive in the Cowboys’ remarkable turnaround.
Chasing 153 for victory, the Titans required 36 runs off 18 balls when Lintott’s magical over derailed their innings. The Titans collapsed from 117/5 to 119/9, losing four wickets in the single over. They were eventually bowled out for 122 in 19 overs. Lintott and Parveen Kumar both delivered stellar bowling performances, claiming three wickets each to seal the win.

Earlier, the Cowboys set a target of 152/9 in their 20 overs, powered by Mukhtar Ahmed’s impressive 59 off 41 balls. The team had a flying start, scoring 63 runs in the powerplay. However, the Titans struck back in the seventh over, with Umer Khan taking two wickets in consecutive deliveries and reducing the Cowboys to 88/4. Contributions from Parveen Kumar (19 off 13 balls) and skipper Lintott (10 off 11 balls) helped the team cross the 150-run mark.
The New Jersey Titans began their chase strongly but faltered as wickets fell at regular intervals. Despite a late fightback, Lintott’s brilliant over extinguished their hopes, leaving the Cowboys victorious and advancing to the final.
The Cowboys’ journey to the final has been nothing short of spectacular. After starting the tournament with three consecutive losses, they turned their campaign around with four consecutive wins to earn a shot at the title.
The grand finale is set for Sunday at Broward County Stadium, where the Cowboys will face the table-topping Maryland Mavericks.
