The West Indies will commence their 2025 home season with a three-match Test series against Australia, marking the start of their World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle. Cricket West Indies (CWI) has unveiled a packed schedule for both the senior men’s and women’s teams, featuring a mix of home and away fixtures spanning from May to December.

Before their first home Test, the West Indies will embark on a tour of the UK, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is each against Ireland and England from May 21 to June 15. This will be followed by the much-anticipated home series against Australia, which will be the first Test assignment for Daren Sammy since taking over as West Indies head coach, succeeding Andre Coley in the red-ball format.

The Test series against Australia will kick off on June 25 at Kensington Oval in Barbados, with the second Test set for July 3 at the Grenada National Stadium. The final match of the series will be played at Sabina Park, Jamaica, starting July 12. After the Test series, the focus will shift to white-ball cricket, with the West Indies and Australia playing five T20Is between July 20 and July 28.

Following the Australian series, the Caribbean side will take on Pakistan in a six-match white-ball series from July 31 to August 12. The T20Is will be held in Florida’s Broward County, while the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad will host the ODIs.

Once the home season concludes, the West Indies will embark on a lengthy overseas tour from September 21 to December 23. They will travel to India for two Test matches, followed by three ODIs and three T20Is against Bangladesh. The tour will conclude with an all-format series in New Zealand, featuring five T20Is, three ODIs, and three Test matches.

Meanwhile, the West Indies women’s team will also have a packed schedule in 2025, beginning with the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan from April 4 to 19. The tournament will see six teams competing for two spots in the marquee event, which is set to take place in India between August and September.
