Yuzvendra Chahal Becomes Top Wicket-Taker in IPL History past Dwayne Bravo’s Record

Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) talismanic spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has become top wicket taker in Indian Premier League (IPL) history on Thursday, May 11. In a high-voltage match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, Chahal claimed his 184th IPL wicket, surpassing former Chennai Super Kings’ star Dwayne Bravo’s record of 183 scalps.

The historic moment came when Chahal, playing his 143rd IPL match, induced KKR captain Nitish Rana into a sweep shot that was safely pouched by Shimron Hetmyer at deep square leg. This crucial wicket catapulted him to the top of the all-time wickets tally, ahead of other prominent bowlers like Piyush Chawla (174), Amit Mishra (172), and Ravichandran Ashwin (171).
