Global T20 Canada 2023 set to begin from July 20th with Final on August 6th

Cricket Canada has announced the much-anticipated return of the Canadian Men’s T20 tournament, reemerging on the sports scene after a three-year hiatus. The Global T20 tournament is scheduled to be held from July 20th to August 6th, 2023 at Brampton Sports Park where six teams will play a total of 25 matches during the 18-days long tournament.

Each of the six franchises will have a diverse team of 16 players from full and associate nations. The unique format ensures representation from all cricketing segments, including two globally acclaimed marquee players, three players from the Canadian National team, and three promising emerging Canadian Cricketers for each team.

The past editions of the Global T20 tournament were memorable because of renowned names in the sport from across the world. Stars such as Chris Gayle, Yuvraj Singh, Lasith Malinga, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, David Warner, Steve Smith, Brendon McCullum, and Thisara Perera mesmerized audiences with their performance. Furthermore, the esteemed guidance of mentors such as Wasim Akram, Brian Lara, and Mahela Jayawardene bolstered the tournament’s standing.
