Zim Afro T10 2023 Squads Finalized; here’s the Players List of all Teams after Draft

After the announcement of the pre-draft marquee players list last week, the Zim Afro T10 League has now finalized the squads for all five teams during the grand ceremony of the Players Draft. This draft showcased the inclusion of renowned international cricket stars like Yusuf Pathan, Eoin Morgan, Mohamed Hafeez, and Parthiv Patel, who were eagerly picked up by the participating teams in the inaugural edition of the league.

The Durban Qalandars, Cape Town Samp Army, Harare Hurricanes, Bulawayo Braves, and Johannesburg Buffaloes will compete for top honors in this highly anticipated tournament starting on July 20. The event will bring together exceptional white-ball cricketers from around the world, showcasing their skills in Harare. The grand finale is scheduled for July 29, with all matches taking place in Harare.

Before the draft, each team had already announced their pre-draft marquee players. According to the tournament rules, each squad must consist of a minimum of 16 players, with at least six of them being Zimbabwean cricketers. Additionally, the franchises were required to select one player from the emerging talent category, identified through a nationwide talent hunt.

With the squads finalized, fans eagerly await the start of the Zim Afro T10 league, anticipating thrilling encounters and outstanding performances from both local and international stars. The tournament promises to be a celebration of the vibrant cricketing culture in Zimbabwe, while providing a platform for emerging talent to shine on the global stage.

Zim Afro T10 Emerging Player Programme

All the teams will add another player to each of their squads in the coming days as five cricketers will be picked from the nationwide Emerging Player programme, which is designed to provide the youngsters with a chance to display their skills at the big stage.
